Tamsin’s two great loves have always been animals and art and she has pursued both throughout her life. Tamsin developed a love for drawing at school and followed on to study art and design but eventually went onto a career in veterinary nursing which she still enjoys today.
Tamsin is an artist who uses pencils to create warm, lively, realistic portraits of animals. As someone with a deep affinity with animals, Tamsin has a real talent for capturing the character of her subjects, depicting their inner life as accurately as their outward appearance. Something photos rarely manage to do. Tamsin has produced hundreds of pet portraits over the years, with many clients returning to commission second or third artworks.
Tamsin also produces work outside of her pet portraits. Having spent time in Africa as a child, Tamsin is fascinated by the unique wildlife of Africa. Her drawings of elephants, gorillas, hyenas and hippopotami have been shown in galleries in London. She also find subjects closer to home, too, in her garden, with her gorgeous drawings of cherry trees, roses, bees and ducks amongst her most popular works.
